Senior Equity Trader

Responsible for executing buy and sell orders as authorized by investment portfolio managers or the Head of Equity Trading. Provide information frequently to portfolio managers about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume and price volatility, effectively contributing to their decision making process.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Execute domestic/global equity securities transactions for multiple portfolio managers in a manner consistent with EV policies.
2. Provide information frequently to portfolio managers about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume and price volatility.
3. Keep informed of relevant conditions and trends concerning corporate developments and specialized securities markets to detect changes and to allow for timely planning and action.
4. Develop and maintain working relationships with brokerage community.
5. Establish strong working relationships with trading support areas.
6. Assist in the development of trading programs and systems.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree required.
2. Global Trading experience is required.
3. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the equity trading market.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Independent worker with solid organizational skills.
6. Discipline of focus and attention to detail.
7. Ability to make real time trading decisions weighing complex circumstances under considerable time pressure.
8. Thorough knowledge of markets and various trading strategies.
9. Ability to understand portfolio manager investment style and market trends.
10. Advanced computer skills including electronic trading systems and other industry software.
11. High level of professionalism and adherence to high ethical standards.
