Description

To make your mark as a Trader you will:

* Value derivative and debt issuance trades.

* Work with Trema to insure accurate marks.

* Work with Fincad and other third party tools to model trades that cannot be booked in Trema.

* Reconcile dealer marks with marks produced by valuation agents and with internally generated marks.

* Calculate cost of funds (COF) on all TFS projects including bullet and amortizing loans.

* Analyze derivative proposals including swaps and caps delivered by banks and executing cost-effective and time-sensitive derivatives transactions with approved banks according to hedging plan.

* Track bond, commodities and currency markets in order insure accounting is uses correct market data as inputs.

* Develop risk and pricing models using Financial CAD and other software.

* Work with Funding team to execute interest rate swaps, currency swaps, and structured swaps in conjunction with bond transactions.

* Develop methods and techniques for securing data that will meet Sarbanes-Oxley and Business Intelligence requirements; ensuring internal controls for documented transactions.

* Design web-based and Excel-based reporting tools to publish Rate Desk information to the company.

* Develop funds transfer pricing (FTP) methodology.

* Work with the business to price and document existing products and develop new products.

Requirements
TFS is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical expertise. Successful candidates must have:

* 5 plus years of relevant experience; experience in financial services is a plus.

* Experience in debt capital markets desired.

* One year or more of experience developing software.

* B.S./B.A. in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or computer science or other related study.

* M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance or IT or Master's in hard science desired.

* Strong programming skills; VBA preferred.

* Basic knowledge of SQL.

* Financial modeling experience.

* Fincad knowledge is a plus.

* Bloomberg knowledge is a plus.

* Knowledge of Treasury systems desired (e.g. Bancware, Trema).

* Knowledge of bond math is desired.
