Description

European Institutional Equity Sales-Trader

As the highly successful European Institutional Equity Sales-Trader, you will deal directly with clients providing market information and execution of trades and develop client relationships and present ideas to clients Keep market makers’ traders abreast of relevant issues with clients. Additionally, you will gather information and analyze the Scandinavian markets, pinpoint trading issues affecting clients and work pro-actively with the Sales Team, affiliates and Sales Traders to identify revenue generating opportunities.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree
* 5 + years experience in Institutional International Equity Sales Trading
* Knowledge of Pan European Markets
* Experience in Scandinavian Markets a plus
* Must have experience providing market information and promoting new ideas to institutional/hedge fund clients
* Broad sector knowledge a plus
* Must have a strong client base and experience working with a senior sales team

We have opportunities for experienced sales traders and analysts, both on the equities and fixed income side. Besides being great places to work, industry leading payouts up to 55% are available for the right candidates.

Requirements Looking For:

1. Experienced Sales Trader with existing book of Buy Side Business.

2. Must be able to create a stream of revenue from his or her existing customers quickly based on existing relationships.

3. Candidate should have contacts at Buy Side Shops even if he or she does not do business with them presently.

4. Ideal candidate could have worked at Jones & Co., Weeden, Jeffries, or the like as a Sales Trader or firms that offered basically Agency Executions.

5. Candidate should feel strongly after polling his or her client’s that a move to your new company will not interfere with the normal flow of business and that the added product list could be a reason for adding to the normal flow of business.

6. Candidate should be able and willing to travel as needed to help introduce Products and salespeople.

7. Ability to introduce Pre-trade, Post-trade and other products and services in conjunction with trading services.

8. Candidate must have a clean U4 and U5.

9. Candidates should have done significant overnight business travel

10. Candidate will not be encumbered by non-compete and will be free to do business with any client.

11. Candidates must have active Series 7 & 63 licenses and any additional licenses would be a plus.

12. Candidates want to be front line sales traders.

13. Self-starter and strong team player.

14. Solid professional and personal work ethic, and highly motivated to succeed.

15. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

In exchange for your track record of success as an institutional sales trader you will receive industry leading commission payouts plus a comprehensive benefits package including 401k. Institutional Equity Sales Trader

The Firm:

A boutique broker-dealer pending minority status with FINRA, our focus is providing capital markets services to investment managers of all sizes. We offer a fully integrated asset management platform consisting of Equity and Fixed income Sales and trading, Independent equity research sales.

Position Description:

The successful sales trader candidate will possess significant relationships with buy-side clientele. The position requires an individual that is highly motivated by compensation tied directly to production, and demonstrates leadership qualities with a willingness to contribute to the firm’s development and evolution.

Requirements

* 3+ years of experience covering institutional clients, with documented production figures.
* Series 7, 63, and 55 are also required
* Proficiency in electronic trading (Use of trading systems Redi, Thinkorswim and Mixit) and a knowledge of algorithmic trading
* Knowledge of independent research and soft dollars a plus
