In this position, Trader reports to Trading Manager. Position is responsible for wholesale purchase of scrap precious metals and sale of gold and silver bullion. Trader quotes real time commodity ‘Spot’ prices, determines material values, records customer trades, prepares payments to sellers and verifies payment receipt from buyers. Trader also ensures purchase trades are appropriately routed for shipping. Finally, Trader tracks market for possible trade opportunities and ‘real time’ product pricing analysis.

Please Note: This position is distinctly different from equities or bond trading.

Requirements

Education: Minimum four year degree in finance, accounting, marketing or other business related field.

Work Experience: Minimum three years professional work experience.

* Math, Math , Math - Strong confidence with basic mathematical skills; an individual who can easily recognize significant calculation errors.
* Sedentary Position – Willing to spend overwhelming majority of day at a desk on the phone. Position is not a good fit for more active individual.
* Communication / Phone Skills – Can communicate confidently and professionally. Can develop and maintain friendly rapport with customers; is confident in addressing customer concerns.
* Focused – Is accurate, detailed and organized. Can maintain focus and manage time under pressure and stress.
* Patient / Forgiving – Is cool under fire. Can listen intently to understand and respond to customer problems, concerns and questions. Is forgiving of customer and employee mistakes (we cannot ask for forgiveness if we do not offer it).
* Team Player – Must be able to professionally work in coordination with others.
* Improviser – Can think on their feet and improvise in taking orders, addressing customer concerns and meeting co-worker needs.
* Willing Learner – Is open minded to asking questions to learn position and business. A ‘know it all’ mentality is high unproductive for this position.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:

· Account manager of several key partnerships in the region
· Develop and execute customer service in areas of geographic responsibility and coordinate product marketing/sourcing as designated.
· Recommend marketing and trading game plan for oil.
· Lead process improvements in all areas related to excellence in execution and customer service.
· Execute export and cost & freight trades in oils product line, capture financial.

· Will work closely with the Trade execution department to ensure zero defect execution for all related business.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum 3 years experience with an in-depth understanding of international trade or merchandising position.
· Bachelors degree in Finance, Math, Accounting or Economics
· Trading and/or risk management aptitude
· Strong decision making capabilities
· Leadership aptitude
· Strong marketing skills
· Excellent Spanish fluency (spoken & written) and cultural skills
· Knowledge of ocean freight market and load port logistics, barges logistics in South America
· Knowledge of exports documentation and trade financing options
· Strong attention to detail is a MUST

Louis Dreyfus Commodities a well-established firm (involved primarily in international trading and merchandising of agricultural commodities, Biofuels and metals) has a unique opportunity for a Merchandiser / Trader to join our team at our ethanol plant in Norfolk, NE. This position originates corn and negotiates forward contracts to buyers of distillers’ grains, assists and implements in devising corn origination strategies and distiller’s grains sales programs and manages logistics and receivables in support of the ethanol processing operation at a dry mill ethanol plant. Responsibilities/Essential Functions

· Aggressively originates corn by developing a rapport with local farming community through direct communication.

· Maintains daily communication, organizes logistical services, and assists with accounting issues with suppliers and customers.

· Manages inbound truck logistics for corn origination and outbound truck logstics for distillers’ grains.

· Negotiates forward sales contracts to buyers of wet and dry distillers’ grains and devises and executes origination strategies in corn and distillers’ grains.

Additional Responsibilities

· Gathers news, statistics and information related to individual commodity supply and demand from customers and trade sources, and distributes that information to the remainder of the group to support overall strategic trading/positioning (i.e., contributes to research function).

· Identifies, qualifies and captures new business; develops and to customer/supplier list.

· Takes inventory measurements on corn, chemicals, and By-products.

· Works closely with corn receiving office, learns Compuweigh and probing / grading operations. Occasionally communicates with truckers / suppliers regarding quality.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree
* One to two years’ experience in one or more of the following:
· Commodity Merchandising/Origination/Trading
· Commodity Risk Management
· Logistics (i.e., coordination of shipments and deliveries)

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Business Administration or other business discipline

A Portland area firm is in need of a Commodities Trader for the wheat future market which opens at 7:30 am and closes at 11:15.

This individual will be responsible for trading in agency and non-agency business in support of the Assistant General Manager who is currently in charge of wheat, barley, and malt trading. Additional responsibilities will include:

* Supplying competitive price and valuable information from the US and Canada to companies in Tokyo and Singapore and worldwide stations.
* Co-working with the merchandising assistant.
* Working for the logistics of wheat, barley, and malt with the logistics manager and the logistics coordinator for the container business.
* Maximizing synergy with affiliated companies.
* Expanding a new business area in the Agency and Non-Agency division such as wheat and barley by container and track.

This position would best suit someone who has an aggressive and inquiring mind. Candidates must have good math skills and strong skills in converting metrics to standard measurement and vice versa. Demonstrated experience in commodities trading is required. Experience in futures trading/logistics is a plus.

This is a full time, permanent position that pays $60K per year. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.

Description

A Portland area firm is in need of a Commodities Trader for the wheat future market which opens at 7:30 am and closes at 11:15.

This individual will be responsible for trading in agency and non-agency business in support of the Assistant General Manager who is currently in charge of wheat, barley, and malt trading. Additional responsibilities will include:

* Supplying competitive price and valuable information from the US and Canada to companies in Tokyo and Singapore and worldwide stations.
* Co-working with the merchandising assistant.
* Working for the logistics of wheat, barley, and malt with the logistics manager and the logistics coordinator for the container business.
* Maximizing synergy with affiliated companies.
* Expanding a new business area in the Agency and Non-Agency division such as wheat and barley by container and track.

This position would best suit someone who has an aggressive and inquiring mind. Candidates must have good math skills and strong skills in converting metrics to standard measurement and vice versa. Demonstrated experience in commodities trading is required. Experience in futures trading/logistics is a plus.

This is a full time, permanent position that pays $60K per year. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
A Structured Commodity Derivatives Sales Trader will be responsible for management and coordination of all sales and marketing efforts for "over the counter" (OTC) commodity derivatives transactions that hedge a corporation's underlying commodity exposure. These financial derivatives are marketed to corporations throughout Fifth Third's Affiliate and Large Corporate footprint.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
# Identifying accounts and their exposures to build a book of business through hedge programs that create a recurring trade and revenue stream
# Help identify and work closely with structured products traders to provide effective and suitable hedges for customer exposures
# Work with Affiliate Relationship Managers and other Capital Markets Products Groups (Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives, and Public Finance) to identify, meet and close OTC
# commodity transactions.
The commodity OTC underlying products will include, but not be limited to:
# ENERGY - Heating Oil, Natural Gas, Crude Oil, Fuel Oil, Jet Fuel Lead, Unleaded Gasoline, Diesel
# METALS/Other Base - Zinc, Aluminum, Copper, Steel, Petrochemicals (HDPE, PVC), Tin, Nickel
# PRECIOUS/Other - Gold, Silver
# OTC contracts will include options, forwards, and commodity swaps.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
Requirements MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

# Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field is required.
# Structured derivatives sales experience.
# Complete understanding of derivatives and structured products net present values and profitability.
# Base understanding of all commodity fundamentals including correlations, hedging effectiveness and client suitability.
# Ability to use Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel, and Modeling systems to determine pricing and hedge effectiveness for all proposed OTC structured hedges.

Koch Nitrogen Company and its affiliates own and invest in nitrogen fertilizer production and storage capacity in North America, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. The company's fertilizer interests manufacture, market and distribute more than 6 million metric tons of nitrogen products annually. Koch Nitrogen Company owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. These plants provide fertilizer to customers in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Midwest. Combined, Koch Nitrogen's fertilizer interests can produce about 6 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizer annually.

Koch Nitrogen Company is currently recruiting for an experienced trader to optimize our fertilizer assets in the UK. The successful individual will develop and manage profitable bulk markets, develop competitive analysis and define strategies to optimize these assets. Additional responsibilities will include:
# Develop strong working relationships with all freight logical parties
# Build competitive analysis, identify the top ports to utilize and leveraging competitive analysis to develop strategic partnerships with customers
# Understand product switching options and communicate what sets the price for our traded product in the UK
# Develop and manage key supply relationships

Requirements Requirements:
# 5+ years of experience in commodity trading
# Ability to speak multiple languages (preferred)Excellent strong analytical and quantitative skills
# Ability to articulate complex concepts and trading strategies
# Results driven
# Bachelors Degree in Business related field
