.Net Developer / Analyst - Trading Support

Well-established financial services firm is looking for an experienced .Net Developer that has previously worked in the financial services industry. The company is located downtown Chicago within walking distance to the train station!

This is a direct hire position but the company is open to looking at candidates only interested in contract to hire positions as well. The company will not sponsor, all applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US. Must be a citizen or have green card or EAD.

Description:

In this role you be in the trading technology group working with internal traders on a day to day basis. This role is going to be heavily focused on supporting the integration of 3rd party algorithmic trading tools. The development will be for integration, maintenance, and enhancements purposes using VB.Net. This position also requires querying the database using T-SQL on SQL Server.

Requirements:

This position requires previous experience working in the financial services industry, preferably trading or investment. Strong .net development skills with either VB.net or C# are required as well as SQL Server experience. Applicants should also have previous application support and heavy interaction with business users. Must also have excellent communication skills! Any experience with any type of order entry/allocation application is a huge plus.

This position is perfect for someone already working in the trading/investment industry and is looking to continue/deepen that experience. The company offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits including 401k/Profit Sharing, bonus and tuition assistance!

Description

The Global OMS Team is seeking a developer to design and implement Equities Order Management Systems in C#/.NET and C++. Responsibilities include C# WPF GUI development and the creation of a GUI framework supporting “pluggable" components. Development will also entail integration of back-end SOA components in C#, C++, and some Java. Candidate should have experience in Equities Trading Systems with an understanding of Program Trading, DMA and Cash process flows. The candidate will be working directly with development managers, front-office Traders, Sales Teams and Product Development.

Accountabilities

· Collaborate with Product Development Team to build front-end workspaces in line with business requirements
· Creating POC applications to demonstrate usability and aesthetics to the front-office
· Assist in design and architecture of GUI frameworks
· Develop components to replicate functionality of legacy OMS applications including blotters, grids, order tickets and consoles
· Develop pluggable components that can be dynamically integrated into the GUI framework
· Implement re-usable SOA components and assist with documentation of interfaces to extend components to the development team

Requirements

· Extensive knowledge of C# w/WPF, ADO, XML, MS EntLib-CAB-Unity Libraries
· Development experience with C++ and Java
· Experience with of SOA best practices and concepts
· Exposure to messaging, web-services and XML libraries
· Database experience (Sybase, SQL-Server)
· Experience with Infragistics and Aleri a plus
· Multi-threading and asynchronous messaging workflows
