Description

Looking for 1st level support for the Equities Trading floor.

Will be holding hands of the traders.

1500 tickets raised a month- 82% are solved by Level 1.

This is NOT a desktop support position.

Ability to read logs, track flow, find out where trade failed.

SQL, UNIX skills.

Preferably familiar with Lava, Sunguard (reach out to marker makers), but not necessary.

This role requires the ability to function efficiently with developers as well as traders on the desks.

The ideal person should be able take an application delivered by developers and design tools/scripts themselves to make their support role more efficient, or provide input

back to development to suggest changes.

Must have experience writing queries, extracting logs, manipulating data, developing GUIs, shell scripting, etc.

Must have trading floor support experience.

This is NOT a developer's role.

This is for someone who's sat on a trading floor and can speak the trader's language.

This person will be supporting 1,000 users around the country who are Traders on a trading floor.

Self-starter, motivated, able to learn quickly and able to function efficiently with developers as well as trading desks.

Excellent communication skills.
