To meet these challenges, DRW is seeking a Desk Operations Specialist to provide specific support to the firm's Treasury Options trading desk. Responsibilities include trade capture, trader support, interacting with brokers and the firm's traders, trade and position reconciliation across multiple systems, and profit and loss tabulation. Professionalism and communication skills are critical as there is regular, direct interaction with the trading desks, risk management, accounting, technology and the firm's partnership. The ability to work in a stressful environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism is paramount.
DRW is a fast paced, constantly evolving environment and you will be expected to keep pace. Projects are turned around rather quickly compared to most trading firms and the variety of work can be impressive.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor exchange, clearing firm, and internal systems for accurate trade postings
* Import trades in to the position management system
* Manually book trades as necessary in position management and risk systems
* Reconcile trades between position management system and clearing firm(s)
* Resolve breaks between brokers, traders, and clearing firm(s)
* Reconcile positions between position management system and clearing firm(s)
* Support preliminary P&L reporting, as necessary, and next-day balancing
* Execute process for option early exercise, assignment, and expiration
* Reconcile brokerage invoices
* Support traders as needed locally
Requirements
* Two to four years experience in futures and futures options clearing and processing
* One year or more of interaction with the Front Office and senior management in an active trading environment
* Prior responsibility for generating P&L related to futures and futures options activity
* Bachelor's degree
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational abilities
* Demonstrated ability to work independently
* Demonstrated ability to independently analyze problems and synthesize and implement solutions thereto
* Demonstrated ability to master trade capture and position management systems
* MS Excel competency required
