Job Purpose:
* Work in the eTrading group within the FX business at Citi
* Development of electronic prop strategies
* Focus on use of proprietary data
* Work closely with programmers to adapt existing models/strategies to meet new business needs
* Job Background/context:
Job Background/context:
* eTrading is a relatively new business within FX incorporating Autotrading, algorithmic trading and proprietary strategies
* There is a team of Quants and Business developers who work on all aspects of FX eTrading
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop trading strategies to be implemented electronically
* Make use of proprietary information to tailor models
* Conduct and direct analysis on pricing and model behaviour pre and post trade
Development Value:
The group is growing rapidly; volumes and revenues in the client business have grown exponentially over the last three years and are targeted to continue aggressively higher. As the business has expanded, we have used the growth on the client side to push the algorithmic and proprietary aspect forward.
Requirements Knowledge/Experience:
* The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience:
* Some knowledge of the FX Market
* 5+ years experience of developing strategies
* A PhD or similar quant background
* Proven experience of applying advanced mathematics or computer technology to finance
Skills:
* The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills:
* Advanced quantitative skills
* Programming Skills a strong advantage
Qualifications:
A PhD from a top tier academic institution in a quantitative field
Competencies
The successful candidate will ideally have the following competencies:
* Excellent communication.
* Quantitative
* The ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Self organisation and motivation
* Ability to think logically and clearly under pressure
