Trading Specialist - Junior Trader / Trader Assistant

Our client, a major international bank located in New York City is seeking a Trading Specialist – Junior Trader / Trade Assistant to join their Strategic Trading Group. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of financial products such as FX, spot, options and interest rates and a strong understanding of the financial markets.

This is a good opportunity to get direct exposure to Traders and a Trading Desk

Major Responsibilities:

* Assist Traders by booking trades and imputing them into the trading systems – transactions include FX, spot, options, interest rates
* Prepare daily / weekly and monthly reports – check daily trades
* Assist with the billing and agreement process
* Calculate brokerage for each trader in the group


Requirements

Job Requirements:

* 1 + years of experience working in an operations department at a bank or brokerage firm
* knowledge of treasury products
* Strong knowledge of the financial markets
* Exceptional MS Suite knowledge
* Excellent communications skills
* Bachelor’s degree required
