Koch Energy Services LLC is seeking a Mid Continent Gas Trader to join the Wichita team. This position offers the opportunity to build a new business from the ground floor in an organization which promotes a culture of teamwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of natural gas for Mid Continent plants as well as developing trading business around this physical demand. Included in this activity will be:
# Manage gas supply for Mid Continent plants and develop strategies to optimize cost
# Managing daily product and risk position for the Mid Continent assets
# Maximize and optimize transportation and storage agreements
# Leverage demand points to develop trading optionality
# Understand supply/demand in the Mid Continent market area and the associated price drivers
# Build a 3rd party book utilizing Koch Fertilizer / Flint Hills Resources asset base
# Requirements Must be willing and able to be at his/her desk before 7:00 am
# 2+ years in gas marketing/trading role
# Good critical thinking skills
# Able to communicate clearly with internal and external parties
# Good interpersonal skills
# Team player
# Willing to challenge and be challenged
# Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Preferred
# 5+ years in gas marketing/trading role
# Experience in building a start-up business
# Bachelor’s degree business or engineering from an accredited institution
