Individual has responsibility for timely buying and selling of equity, fixed income and mutual fund securities. Individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the trading cycle, including pre-trade processes, brokerage selection in accordance with Argent’s approved brokerage list, and post-trade communications with brokerage and custodian firms

Responsibilities:

1. Originate, place and allocate trades as directed by Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Client Service Administrators

a. Raise cash for client needs

b. Invest new cash

c. Apply trades for new and terminating and restricted accounts

d. Process trades resulting from Investment Team strategic moves including maintaining restricted accounts

2. Maintain Moxy trading system

3. Create and update procedures relating to trading process

4. Maintain soft dollar and best execution reports and insuring compliance with company policies

Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of securities trading experience. This position will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, the position reports to Argent’s Director of Operations, who the individual will assist with a variety of tasks and analysis. Required skills include proficiency in the following:

1. Moxy order management system
2. Omgeo Oasys and Alert trade allocation systems
3. Advent Axys portfolio accounting system
4. Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
5. Organization and time management skills.

Additionally the job will require analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, ability to focus, and problem solving.
