Full/Part Time: Full-time
Division: Division Commercial
Job Description: GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide primary and secondary market liquidity to assigned market sector to assist in achieving departmental fee income goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Trade fixed income securities in support of Institutional and Retail Sales representatives. * Provide revenue-generating ideas to sales representatives. * Process trades on clearing system. * Maintain working relationships with national and regional brokers and dealers. * Balance, reconcile and manage inventory positions maintained within department policy limits. * File appropriate regulatory reports on timely basis. * Maintain relationships with Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE's) where appropriate. * Provide Public Finance department with market feedback and commentary on rates and conditions. * Provide product training to Institutional and Retail sales executives through formal training sessions and informal daily communication. * Bid municipal securities, which are sold through competitive sale. * Underwrite negotiated securities with superior execution. * Generate fee income through exploitation of market inefficiencies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
Requirements MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
License: NASD Series 7, 55, 63 registration required.
Education: Business or Finance Bachelors degree with MBA preferred.
Experience: One to two years banking or securities industry experience preferred.
