Charles Schwab's Fixed Income Trading Team manages the firm's
BondSource platform that offers clients, on a typical day, the choice
of over 25,000 different fixed income securities. The most popular
products are municipal bonds; Bank CDs; U. S. Treasury Bills, Notes
and Bonds; and Corporate Bonds.

Description:
The Fixed Income Trading group at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. is
responsible for serving clients and managing their Fixed Income
product needs --Corporate, Bank, Government and Tax-free bond
instruments. Our traders work closing with the Fixed Income sales
and services teams within our retail business (Investor Services) and
our institutional teams (Advisor Services).

Responsibilities:

Trading and Maintaining a Mid Atlantic Muni Portfolio

Monitor daily inventory, providing updated pricing

Work on introducing Schwab to lead underwriters for Negotiated
Deals.

Monitor MSRB reporting.

Interact with SIS and SI service and sales.

Monitor external ATS offerings for appropriate credit quality and
customer suitability

Work on Bid Wanteds via QWS

Work on orders in trader review status

Executing, cancelling, changing, Outing orders, and notify all
parties

Watch aged items and shorts

Check out with dealers

Handle all trade problems/settlement breaks, call contra parties,
liaison with operations

Qualifications:

7-15 Years of Municipal Trading experience with strong knowledge of
the Mid Western States.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics

Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills

Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manage
daily workload

Must be flexible, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced
team environment

Demonstrated prior experience in a customer service or business
development role

Strong PC skills that includes experience with Microsoft office
(including Excel, Word, and Power Point) and industry standard
trading resources and tools (Bloomberg, Reuter's Blackrock etc.)

Series 7 & 63 required

General knowledge of securities transfer and SEC regulations
