Description

Responsible for Fixed Income trading for institutional sales accounts.

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the daily activities of the Trading Desk function, including efficient execution of securities transactions, multiple bids and offer processing, and efficient distribution of other trading information to management and staff.

2. Secure information on securities available for purchase from brokers/dealers for distribution to Investment officers

3. Monitor movement of securities markets and trading patterns of securities to ensure proper trade execution and to minimize market impact

4. Responsible for monitoring and reporting of unmatched positions

5. Monitoring and reporting of all compliance responsibilities and issues, related to the Trading Desk function

6. Perform other duties associated with the Fixed Income Trader function, as assigned by management

Requirements

* 4 Year degree in Business, Finance or Economics preferred
* 5-7 Years experience (minimum) in Securities trading
* 3-5 Years experience in a Fixed Income Trader position preferred
* All applicable securities licenses required (i.e. Series 7 and Series 63)
* Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well within a team environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Regular and punctual attendance is required
