Job Description:
Responsible for making markets in Fixed Income securities.
Key Accountabilities:
Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Make markets in Fixed income securities
- Provide liquidity where appropriate and achieve/exceed profit target
- Manage risk in accordance with RBC policy
- Provide actionable trade ideas for salespeople to propose to end clients
- Report profit and loss daily, and mark book appropriately
- Be a top "call- in our chosen areas of expertise
- Facilitate new issue process
Managerial Excellence:
- Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals.
- Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance.
- Leverage the value in unit, department, and enterprise wide teams to develop better solutions and achieve a cross enterprise mindset.
- Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities.
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Education: BA/BS

- Solid understanding of financial markets.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience, working in a financial environment.
- Series 7 and 63 licensed.
- Ability to analyse risk.
- Good communication skills.
- Good team player.
- Basic systems knowledge.
- CFA preferred.
