INFINIUM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT is seeking an experienced Event Driven Equity Trader to join our team. Our ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment, alongside other Traders, Financial Engineers and Software Engineers.

Infinium Capital Management is a proprietary capital management firm based in Chicago, Illinois. First started in 2001, by veterans of trading and technology, we have grown from our nine original employees to over 200 team members. We are involved in all aspects of the trading industry, including open outcry and electronic trading, market-making, and arbitrage. Our new 60,000 square foot office is located at the technology-focused 600 West Chicago Avenue facility in Chicago. Our Firm’s massive force of specialists in trading, technology, financial engineering and other key operational support areas, represents one of the most powerful groups of any kind in the industry. In addition to our team oriented approach, we rely on proprietary software and financial models, decades of trading experience, and fundamental analysis to make our decisions. Requirements
* 4+ years experience trading equities, with a breadth of multiple sector expertise, preferably from a well established equity desk.
* Experience with Risk Arb, Merger Arb, Corporate Restructuring and Special Situation trades, added pluses.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
* CPA, a plus.
