Flagstar Bank is currently seeking an experienced Security Investments Trader to implement the investment strategy for non-agency CMO's as directed by the Portfolio Manager.

Position Description

- Direct report to Security Investments Portfolio Manager

o Current investment strategy includes the acquisition of high quality asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities ( targeted at $3.5 Billion).

o Emphasis on non-agency CMOs

o Capitalize on opportunities created by current market illiquidity and resulting discounts

- Direct responsibility for taking positions as directed to implement strategy as directed by the Portfolio Manager
Requirements

- Masters or MBA degree in Finance, Economics or related field.

- A minimum of 5 years experience in securitization, capital markets or structured finance.

- Significant experience in trading non agency CMOs

- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
