We are currently recruiting for a Real Time Trader for our office in Denver, CO. This position will optimize physical assets, wholesale transactions, retail supply and transmission transactions in the real time environment to extract the greatest possible margin from the market. The Real Time Trader will make hourly trades based on real time positions and analysis of market conditions; dispatch generation and balance load to adjust to changes in the market; create opportunities through the building of relationships with market participants; and assist with after-the-fact energy accounting reconciliation as needed.
Requirements
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related discipline. Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel, is essential. In addition, the use of analytical computer programs and/or modeling tools as well as experience in the Northeast , Southeast, Canadian, West, and ERCOT real time trading markets, trade analysis, electric system operating, or wholesale marketing is preferred. The ideal candidate for the Real Time Trader must be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Lastly, this position is a full-time, 12-hour rotating shift.
