We are currently recruiting for an Energy Trader – Midcontinent to be located at one of our various office locations. This position is responsible for the physical and financial trading of energy. The Energy Trader will conduct short-term and intermediate commodity trading transactions and will be responsible for interacting with market participants to develop, negotiate, and execute business opportunities that create value for the company. This position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating complex energy transactions to ensure that all aspects of the transaction are favorable and consistent with company guidelines for risk management. This position will report to Wholesale Gas Trading Leader.
Requirements
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Marketing. Knowledge of gas control, capacity release markets, storage and pipeline transportation is required as well as 3+ years of experience with commodity trading. The successful candidate must be computer proficient and have experience with research and technical analysis.
