Trader Job -> Great opportunity with a client located in the Houston, TX area for a Power Generation Control Analyst. This position will monitor fuel, voltage and control performance and be responsible for the economic and reliability-based dispatch and operation of this client's Texas and California generation portfolios. Client is willing to train and will consider junior level candidates with at least one year experience in generation control, energy trading, or plant operations. ERCOT and CAISO experience is preferred. A candidate with a NERC operator certificate would be ideal. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and above average communication skills, including the ability to transmit clear, specific, detailed information verbally and in writing is a must. A demonstrated ability to analyze and process a large amount of time sensitive data to make reliability and economic decisions will be required. This position will require the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, which includes nights, weekends and holidays. Position is bonus eligible. Relocation assistance will be considered for eligible candidates.
