RBC PROFESSIONAL TRADERS GROUP (“RPT”) is one of the largest proprietary trading firms in New York City. We are distinguished by our strong work ethic and commitment to building a core group of proprietary traders.
The Position:
RPT is looking for a select group of individuals who want to learn to trade US Equities in a fast paced environment in West Palm Beach, Florida. Proprietary traders will have access to firm capital, and benefit in the economies of scale. We have access to advanced trading platforms as well as news services and charting software.
This is not an internship or an Assistant Trader position. All new recruits will start to trade within weeks of passing the firm-sponsored Series 7. Our extensive training program will consist initially of risk management but will quickly advance into technical analysis, hedging techniques, tape reading, and position management. We will have very high expectations and will expect our new traders to hit the ground running.
Requirements
Position requirements:
• Unyielding ability to be a fast thinker and quick learner
• Strong interest in the US Equity markets
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• High degree of maturity and professionalism
• Self-starting approach, high level of energy and enthusiasm about working in an entrepreneurial environment with significant growth potential
• High degree of creativity and ability to "think outside the box"
• Outstanding attention to detail
