Buy-side Assistant Trader
Description:

This individual will be responsible for managing settlement issues from foreign and domestic equity trades, along with occasional foreign currency transactions. Secondary responsibility will helping out the trade desk with domestic trade executions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for ensuring failing trades are dealt with in a timely manner
* Maintains day-to-day relationships with wide range of external custodians and brokers
* Provides updates to senior traders on any settlement issues
* Executes domestic trades as needed during periods of high volume trading
* Works to improve the settlement process with our brokers and custodians

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:

* Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of financial services industry
* Knowledge of APL and Bloomberg systems
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
* Quick learner with desire to grow
