We have an urgent requirement for a Junior Power Trader in New York to Join the Energy Derivatives group.

Responsibilities include:

Trade financial power.
Lend commercial leadership to marketing activities.
Provide insight into the market and operations to other traders.
Identify trading opportunities based on market conditions.
Adhere to effective internal controls.

Requirement’s
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, finance, economics, or engineering.
Experience with power markets
Extensive knowledge of transmission and operations.
Ability to model intra-day, next day pricing and load to devise strategies.
Self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel. Programming skills a plus.
Experience with electronic trading systems.
