We currently have an exciting direct placement opportunity for a mid-level Trader with a growing Financial Services company in Oakland.
Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include:
' Process portfolio manager-directed trades
' Keep records of all portfolio manager-directed trades
' Communicate with sponsor trading desks and trade support
' Process client withdrawals and deposits
' Trade new accounts against appropriate models
' Process terminations
' Identify ways to streamline trading and audit process
' Process tax selling requests
' Process trading restrictions

Education and experience required:
' Bachelor's degree
' Two years of trading experience
' Knowledge of equity markets
' Familiarity with sponsor trading desks and trade rotation
' Familiarity with portfolio modeling strategies
' Attention to detail and very accurate
' Ability to handle deadlines, stress and time sensitive situations
' Experience with order management systems and market information systems
' Progress towards CFA Designation preferred

Description
A Company located in eastern Kansas is actively searching for two Real Time Traders to aid in the decision making in the Power Marketing Group. Under general supervision the Real Time Trader will conduct intra-day energy transactions with wholesale customers and other energy suppliers. The positions will assist in optimizing company owned generation, power supply contracts and economy sales and purchases. Finally, the Real Time Trader will construct, price, and assist in the marketing of new energy products. These positions require that all candidates applying for this position must be able to maintain a positive attitude and thrive in a team environment. Also, the positions require one of the following conditions: BS in Business, Engineering , or related field and 2 years of pertinent experience may be substituted for the degree. MUST have energy trading experience! Experience with ERCOT, MISO, PJM or ICE utility markets are desired. There is an opportunity that these positions could be offered as Sr. Real Time Trader. It will depend on candidate’s knowledge and experience in the energy trading industry. Each position is 12-hour rotating shift positions. The company does have a very good benefits package.
