Energy Trader ($70-85K)

Description
Energy Trader Job -> Client located in New Jersey has an IMMEDIATE NEED for an Energy Rate Analyst to join their team. You need 4\-7 years of experience working for a heavy industrial company that buys & sells electricity & gas, a consulting firms that provides this service, a power marketer or an electric utility. This position requires you to have at least a Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Finance, Business or Economics. You will be expected to provide analytical support to the Energy Affairs Department including reconciliation of monthly energy invoices, assisting in the preparation of the monthly power report, maintaining and administering the requirements of the Energy Information System and other systems used by the company to track and analyze energy consumption and cost. This position requires significant involvement in the annual power budget process and continued follow up through out the year to track and ensure the budget targets and initiatives are met. You will be expected to lead/assist/participate in the negotiation of new contractual arrangements for certain company facilities as a required developmental process. This would include the negotiation of new electric service and natural gas agreements for different chemical process facilities and other sites with electric utilities/power marketers/generators, etc. You need experience conducting a detailed analysis of various utility rates and energy market prices including cost/benefit type analysis of rates and projects that the company may be considering. Client offers excellent pay, benefits, 401k, tuition reimbursement, 7-10% bonus potential and a relocation package.
