Trading Specialist

Edelman Financial Services LLC is seeking a Trading Specialist.

SUMMARY:

* Provide the immediate support needed to all individuals in the trading areas in an effort to quickly resolve issues relating to trade comparison, customer inquiries, and compliance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRADING SPECIALIST

* Review and resolve or escalate trading inquiries

* Handle phone correspondence

* Provide technical expertise

Requirements

TRADING SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

* Process Trades -Trade inquiries and closures

* Liaison with financial planning teams

* Knowledge and skill pertaining to review of trading reports

* Customer open order reconciliation

* Demonstrated initiative in gaining knowledge and willingness to participate in departmental projects as assigned

* Two (2) years minimum broker experience preferred

SKILLS: -

* Attention to Detail
* Excellent customer service and communication skills a must
* Reconciliation skills (Trading reconciliation a plus)
* Familiar with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software
* Excellent organizational skills
* Proactive and be able to multi-task
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel preferred
* Desire to possibly become a full time trader
* Can handle pressure and tight deadlines
* Ability to work in a team environment is essential

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

* 4 years college or equivalent experience, previous experience in a financial industry preferred.
* Must have Series 7 and 63 licenses

PROBLEM SOLVING/JUDGEMENT

* Excellent judgment and problem solving skills required to handle and resolve risk items
