Robert Half Finance and Accounting's prestige hedge fund client is currently seeking to hire a highly qualified Assistant Controller to assist the CFO as described below. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, resourceful and will have the ability to interact comfortably with individuals at all levels.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Perform a wide variety of financial, operational and administrative functions as required
• Assist in monthly close of Funds and managed Accounts
• Preparation and distribution of monthly/quarterly reporting
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Interact with traders and portfolio manager
• Review, track and analyze trading commissions
• Investor reporting
• Interaction with investors
• Assist with administrative tasks as necessary

Qualifications:
• 1+ years in Securities industry (Investment Advisory/Hedge Fund/Private Equity preferred)
• 1+ years Accounting in a financial services or corporate environment
• Excellent computer skills including MS Excel and Word
